Who needs Siscomex authorisation?
Any company importing or exporting for commercial purpose operates through Siscomex and needs authorisation. Individual shipments follow a different route and are not a shortcut for a commercial purchase.
Does the authorisation level decide what I can import?
It does not. The level caps the value cleared per period. Whether merchandise may enter depends on tariff classification and the administrative treatment attached to the product, which can require licences from other agencies.
How long does authorisation take?
It depends on the company’s cadastral profile, tax regime, size and the information given in the statement of interest. There is no deadline we can promise, and the request may be granted at a different level than asked, or refused.
Do you file the authorisation for the company?
We support the preparation of information, the reading of requirements and follow-up. The request is filed in the company’s name by the legal representative or an attorney-in-fact with a power of attorney, and the decision belongs solely to the authority.
